    Foraging walks

I have been foraging for food and chocolate flavours for over 40 years, and would love to guide you to meet some of my favourite plants. Walks happen all year around, from early spring through to late autumn.

Check the calendar for any scheduled walks available, but we like to keep groups small, so always happy to respond to queries to run walks at any time.

    Identifying plants and fungi

The main focus of our foraging walks is to introduce you to edible plants and fungi, as they become available over the seasons. We will discuss how to properly identify them and how to pick responsibly

    How to eat them

Once you have identified and picked your food, what next? does it need to be cooked or processed, and if so how? can it be eaten raw. We will discuss all of this, and at each walk there will always be a snack of some kind showcasing wild edibles in some way

    Squirreling wild food

What are the best ways of preserving wild foods for winter or the coming months? We can chat drying, fermenting, salting, pickling, making leathers and more
