A wild garlic party
Most of us are really familiar with wild garlic - it is one of the easier and well-known wild ingredient. There are a few look alikes we need to be aware of, a few sustainability issues around gathering - but the main question I am asked is 'what can I do with it?', or 'i make pesto, but what else can I do with it?'
So join me for a wild garlic party - we are going to gather lots of garlic together, and share our favourite recipes and techniques - that will include lacto fermentation, pickling, pestos, garlic salt, garlic oil, drying, freezing, scone making, quiche making and any more that we can come up with!
We will then sit down to a lovely wild garlic themed pot luck lunch, bring your fave recipe (as a dish), I will prepare a few dishes, and we can enjoy some of the foods we have prepared together that morning.
The workshop will take place here in Acharn, at our house. 10am to 2pm; bring a basket, your favourite wild garlic recipe, a wild garlic themed something for the pot-luck lunch, or none of those things! Just yourself and ever-ready tastebuds.
