During the COVID-19 ‘lock-down’, we may not be able to do much else, but we can still make and send out chocolate, and we plan to do so as long as we can, and will be trying out new spring and summer flavours as they develop. We hope to experiment with new plants, new flavours and new ways of combining them with chocolate to keep a lively menu of products on offer. And of course, Easter in a few weeks – look out for details of some lovely Easter treats coming soon. I will communicate these through our social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (all @cocoaflower) and through regular e-newsletters (you can sign up for this through our website).
Chocolates can be sent by Royal Mail throughout the UK– so if you have a friend or family member stuck at home and in need of a treat – we can send chocolate. In the PH15 area we can also deliver to your door.
In the workshop, we have reviewed our situation and adapted our hygiene protocols as you would expect. Kate is on ‘furlough leave’ until further notice, so the only person in the workshop is Charlotte.
To minimise trips to the local post office, we intend to only post orders out once a week, on Wednesdays; I will make a batch of seasonal ganache filled chocolates each week, ready to be sent out fresh on Wednesdays, and so orders will need to be with us by Monday morning to catch that delivery. We have a good stock of bars, shards and thins available all the time.
We hope you are all well and stay so; these are strange times but we do have each other, and of course chocolate
